The theme for this game jam was long and convoluted, so we took our time deciding what we wanted to create. Heavily inspired by Post Void, we designed a game built around a single core mechanic: managing two resource bars—health and adrenaline (or ‘pleasure,’ which gives it a much darker tone).
We lose health when stabbed by an enemy and regain it when stabbing an enemy. Adrenaline constantly depletes, but we can restore it by stabbing ourselves—at the cost of losing health.
I designed and programmed the core mechanic, player movement, enemy behavior, and UI.
With this game, we won 2nd place at AGH CookieJam 2024.
